One of my students, Merizu, came to me yesterday telling me that today, Wednesday, it was her birthday. I just told her, joking, that if she could bring me a piece of cake from the party. Well this morning my student showed up with her dad... and a huge cake... for the whole class.
This is the cake. It was delicious!

I had a similar experience! We had gone apple picking and one of the girls said her mom made an apple pie. I said "did you bring me any?" The next day she came in with a whole pie for the class! It was too precious!
